Actor Expectations

Lanternlight offers part‑time, project‑based performance work. Shows are cast based on seniority, availability, experience, and fit for each production.

Ideal candidates are:

  • Experienced with improvisational theatre

  • Comfortable breaking the fourth wall and engaging directly with guests

  • Skilled at reading a room and adapting in the moment

  • Confident, warm, and collaborative

  • Professional, reliable, and friendly

  • Able to balance comedy with grounded, believable character work

*Training provided — no murder mystery experience required.

 

Ideal candidates are available and interested in performing a minimum of 2 shows per month. Most performances take place Tuesday–Saturday evenings, with dates typically scheduled at least a month in advance.

Compensation: Starting at $75 per show

Please submit the form below to register for our upcoming audition on Thursday, June 18th at 7pm at Mayfair Art Studios in Spartanburg, SC. Registration isn't required. The form can be submitted prior to auditions or upon arrival. Please being a headshot and resume to auditions. Sides will be provided for reading.

Location of Interest

We operate out of Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC. Please note your closest location of interest.

This can include improv, teaching, customer service, facilitation, hosting, or any role where you interact directly with people.

Shows are typically booked between Tuesday - Saturday nights. Shows vary month to month but dates are typically known at least a month in advance.

How far are you willing to travel?

Mileage reimbursement is offered for shows over 40 miles from the base location it was booked from
